More than support. More than care.

This role is about people.

It's about helping someone build the confidence to try something new.

It's about supporting someone to achieve a goal they never thought possible.

It's about celebrating the everyday victories that most people take for granted.

You'll support people with:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Sight loss and visual impairments
  • Complex needs
  • Behaviours that may be challenging

Every person we support has their own personality, interests and ambitions. Your role will be to help them live as independently as possible while ensuring they feel safe, valued and respected.

What could your day look like?

One day you might be:

  • Supporting someone to go swimming
  • Enjoying a walk in the local community
  • Helping someone learn new life skills
  • Supporting with shopping and meal preparation
  • Encouraging independence at home
  • Attending appointments
  • Supporting communication and building confidence
  • Celebrating achievements, big and small

No two days are the same, and that's exactly what makes this role so rewarding.

Is this role right for you?

You don't need to have worked in social care before.

We're looking for people with the right values, attitude and commitment.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are patient and compassionate
  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Enjoy supporting and encouraging others
  • Build positive relationships easily
  • Have a positive outlook and good sense of humour
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Want a career where your work truly matters

If you genuinely care about people, we can teach you the rest.

Essential requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Previous experience in a support or care setting
  • Availability to work 37.5 hours per week across a seven-day rota
  • Ability to work long shifts of 12 hours or more
  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • Flexibility to complete one sleep-in shift per week (£50 per sleep-in in addition to salary)
