Who You’ll Be Supporting
Hi! I am a young man with autism and moderate learning difficulties, I live alone in a purposely built home. I like routine and predictability. I find it very challenging when I cannot go out and do things that I enjoy. I like to go out in my vehicle daily on a pre-planned route, which my support workers are required to drive. I love music, BBC 1, BBC 2 radio and colouring activities, going out in my van to activities. My mother is very important to me in my life and is involved in my support and wellbeing. My favourite food is pasta. My support workers need to be dedicated, resilient, creative, flexible and think outside of the box to enable me to reach my full potential. I have been institutionalised most of my life and now with the support of SeeAbility's amazing Support Workers most of my days are active and enjoyable.
You’ll be making a real impact with a person who have:
- Behaviours of concern
- Autism and learning disabilities
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Restraint Reduction (Not essential but desirable)
If you’re compassionate, resilient, and ready to learn, this is your moment. It’s hands-on, it’s heart-led, and yes — it’s brilliant.
