We’re looking for a dedicated Female Support Worker to support a 21‑year‑old young lady, supported by SeeAbility, to live life with confidence, comfort and joy.
About the person you will support
A wonderful young woman with a big personality and a love for:
- Storytelling and imagination
- Disney princesses
- Peppa Pig and In the Night Garden
- Laughing, connecting and feeling safe with people she trusts
Who has:
- A learning disability
- Epilepsy
- Visual impairment
- Mobility needs
- Some behaviours that can be challenging, which require patience, reassurance and understanding
With the right support, she thrives, and that’s where you come in.
About the Role
This is a 1:1 support role with an element of 2:1 2.5 hours per day, where communication and emotional intelligence are just as important as practical skills.
You’ll support her to:
- Feel safe, reassured and understood
- Express herself through communication, stories and play
- Stay engaged in daily activities and routines
- Navigate moments of anxiety or challenge with calm, confidence and care
You will work alongside a supportive team and receive guidance and training from SeeAbility, ensuring you feel confident and well‑supported.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Excellent at communicating – verbally, emotionally and intuitively
- Bubbly, confident and warm, with an infectious positive energy
- Naturally nurturing, affectionate and kind, while maintaining clear professional boundaries
- Calm, reassuring and able to prompt or support when appropriate
- Patient, resilient and emotionally switched‑on
Experience in support or care is helpful, but the right values and attitude matter most. We’re especially keen to hear from people who genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships.
Why This Role Is Special
This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to be someone’s trusted supporter, to bring joy, reassurance and stability, and to help a young woman live life in a way that feels meaningful to her.
