Male Support Worker – British Sign Language
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Hours: 37.5 per week, guaranteed – stability you can count on
 Salary: £25,525.50 per annum (£13.09 per hour) plus benefits. Sleep-ins are compulsory and are paid at £50 per sleep.
Driving License: UK Full Driving License required

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who value communication, Deaf awareness, and person-centred support.

You’ll need:

  • BSL Level 1 (with the motivation and support to work towards Level 2)
  • Clear spoken and written English
  • Experience in a care or support setting
  • A manual UK driving licence
  • The right to live and work in the UK

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a Deaf gentleman with a learning disability who communicates using British Sign Language.

He loves exploring the local community, visiting churches, discovering old buildings, and enjoying history. Your role is to help him live life to the fullest and as independently as possible.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Supporting daily routines from morning to bedtime
  • Planning meaningful, person-centred activities
  • Contributing to personalised support plans
  • Building strong, trusting relationships through BSL
  • Keeping clear and accurate support notes
