Salary:

£44,075 per annum plus benefits.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, additional hours to meet service requirements.

About You

We are looking for an extraordinary Interim Service Manager who is committed to supporting our Registered Manager's and Deputies in our efforts in bringing our supported living homes up to full compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations across Kent.

As a Interim Service Manager, you will use your expertise to support and ensure that our supported living homes meets and exceeds all CQC regulatory requirements. This role is critical to the ongoing improvement of our homes, with a strong focus on compliance, auditing, and performance.

Whilst this position will not involve direct support work, you will be working within the people we supports homes. You will need to maintain clear and open communication with the people we support, staff, families and other external stakeholders. You main area of focus will be on administrative, managerial, and regulatory tasks to ensure the homes operate compliantly, whilst helping to develop and implement strategy's for continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

CQC Compliance: Support the Registered Manager's and their Deputies in achieving and maintaining full compliance with CQC standards. Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement. Assist in implementing necessary changes to meet compliance requirements, ensuring all aspects of care and operations adhere to CQC regulations.
Online Care Planning: Ensure accurate and up-to-date care records are maintained for the people we support. Assist, train and support staff in the use of online care planning tools.
Policy and Procedure Management: Review, update, and implement procedures in line with current legislation and best practices. Assist to ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to updated policies and procedures.
Auditing: Conduct thorough audits across all areas of the home, including health and safety, medication management, care delivery, and record-keeping. Where necessary, provide detailed reports on audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
Staff Training and Development: Identify training needs related to compliance and care standards. Coordinate and deliver training sessions to ensure all staff are competent and compliant with CQC requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with external bodies, including healthcare professionals, and family members, to ensure transparency and compliance. Maintain clear and open communication channels with staff, the people we support, and families regarding home operations and improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in care quality and compliance. Stay updated on changes in CQC regulations and industry standards, ensuring the home remains compliant and up-to-date.

Furthermore, as an Interim Service Manager;

  • You will be enthusiastic about unlocking untapped potential in the teams and the people we support.
  • You will do what is right to deliver a safe, compliant service that fully engages and trains employees who want to push the boundaries to achieve extraordinary outcomes.
  • You will be knowledgeable of national policy and best practice for services supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
  • You will have a deep understanding of regulatory standards for supported living
  • You will have an up to date knowledge of Health and safety legislation
  • You will be familiar of supporting people with PBS needs.
  •  You will have amazing communication skills that inspire and motivates those around you.
  • You will work closely with the PBS consultant to ensure that all support is tailored to the person and that support staff are appropriately trained, supported, and coached.
About the homes
 
We have six homes across Kent and pride ourselves on delivering person-centred care to meet the individual day-to-day living needs of the people we support. All our homes are diverse in the support we provide, with needs such as sight loss, learning disabilities, and autism to name a few. We ensure the voices of the people we support are listened to, both in terms of their personal development and our organisational development.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have an QCF Level 5 Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards and have a background and/or qualification in PBS or a willingness to learn and a full UK driving license.
