Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker

£13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.

Hours:
|
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.

Contract:
|
Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement:
|
A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential for this role.

About You
We are on the lookout for Senior Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
Furthermore, as Senior Support Worker you will:
- You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example, being professional, patient and calm under pressure with experience of providing extraordinary support.
- You will supervise daily outputs and assist the Registered and Deputy Manager’s in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.
- You will follow social care legislation and regulations to keep your team and home compliant.
- You will demonstrate keeping accurate records, perform audits and quality outcomes for the people you support.
- You will take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support.
- You will help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goals.
- You will plan and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities.
- You will ensure the people you support and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, equity, and equality.
- You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values.
We are looking for the people with the right attitude, who has an open mind, forward-thinking and a sense of humour. You will be available to work 37.5 hours a week including weekends.

Who you will be supporting?
Fiennes House is a 12-bed purpose-built residential home, for adults with complex care needs, learning disabilities or autism, some of which have behaviour that can challenge. Everyone benefits from having access to a large sensory room with equipment to stimulate their senses using lights, sounds, music, and touch. This includes a heated waterbed and materials to help people enjoy different sensory experiences.
The people we support are a very active group who spend a lot of time getting out and about and engaging with the local community. Some of the activities they love include, art classes, trampolining, playing music, gardening in the sensory garden and spending time in the community.
