To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate exposure to two of the following areas of expertise:
- Physical Disabilities
- Complex Health Needs
- Learning Disabilities
- Life-limiting conditions
- Visual impairment
- End of Life Care
In order to be considered, you must hold a full UK driving licence, due to the requirements of the role.

What will you be doing?
As an activities support worker, you'll be more than just their support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life.
You will predominantly deliver/facilitate sessions on a 1:1 or group basis, working alongside other team members and under the guidance of the Activity and Resource Co-ordinator. You will be supporting people to do activities they like, and also exploring new activities that they may also enjoy, but at the same time maintaining existing skills.
- Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
- Social Engagement: Supporting activities like hobbies, and ensuring everyone could enjoy what they love doing.
- Respect & Dignity: Ensuring that the individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.
Who you will be Supporting?
At The Penny Centre we support 16 young individuals with profound multiple learning disabilities and visual impairment.
Our residents love taking part in activities in the home. Some of the activities we offer are cooking, gardening (seasonal), arts and crafts, interactive music, pamper sessions and going out and about in the community.
