Role Description

Support Worker

You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK. SeeAbility is unable to support any sponsorship requests.

  • Location: Seaford, East Sussex
  • Salary: £12.00 per hour (£23,400 per annum) pro-rata plus benefits. 
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts: 7.00am to 3.00pm or 2.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
  • Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.

You must hold a UK Driving licence to apply for this role.

Who will you be supporting?

SeeAbility is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities, sight loss, and a wide range of other needs. We are a forward thinking supported living service, always striving to improve and find better ways of doing things.

Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for: 

  • Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration.
  • Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live.
  • Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
  • Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims. 
  • Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities 
  • Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments.
  • Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

About you

What are we looking for:

You will be looking for up to 37.5 per week and happy to work on a rota basis, covering a combination of mornings, evenings, and weekend support.
