Scope of the Job

Are you looking to make a big impact and positive change on the lives of people with autism, learning disabilities and sight loss? We at SeeAbility feel privileged to work alongside approximately 250 people with disabilities and their families across the South of England. Established in 1799, SeeAbility is a specialist charity with a long heritage of enriching lives. But don’t be put off by our long heritage by thinking we are an out of touch charity, in fact we are half way through our ambitious 5 year strategy where we are focusing on innovation, a new engagement model, modernisation of our systems, and strengthening our specialisms.  The values of the organisation promote personalisation and inclusion with a focus on lifelong learning, whilst stimulating ambition and personal development.

We recognise that our goals face considerable hurdles with funding pressures and workforce challenges, but these drive us to be more creative in order to help people make their dreams a reality.  Reporting to our Executive Director of Operations, we are looking for a Regional Head of Operations to be that inspiration and driving force.  If you are highly ambitious, strategic leader and thinker and want to oversee the delivery of the highest quality support, then we are the perfect match for you. With a focus on improving and implementing best practice you will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding outcomes for the people we support, and provide strong leadership to the Managers and their teams in the region. We see inclusion and breaking down the social barriers that people with disabilities face day in, day out as part of our challenge, but not an insurmountable one: A challenge that we believe we can overcome, if you have the same focus, determination, and an understanding of what exceptional is, then we are a great match.

You will need a good track record of delivering on outcomes, both in terms of customer expectations and statutory requirements, but also in exceeding expectations by identifying creative and innovative solutions. Role modelling exemplary leadership for managers and colleagues is critical to our values and it is those values that drive every interaction.  If you’d like to be a part of out team and share our passion and ambition, we’d love to get to know you.  In return for your dedication, we offer a flexible, fun environment, a unique leadership development programme, and a wide range of benefits that can be tailored to how you live your life.
