Senior Support worker - Aylesbury

An exciting opportunity for a forward thinking and energetic person who is looking to develop and strengthen leadership skills and competencies.

 

As a key member of the senior team you will demonstrate flair and enthusiasm to enable the people we work with to plan and achieve their goals and wishes. You will also mentor and induct new staff as well as coach, supervise and support the ongoing development of your allocated support workers. 

 

A natural leader with experience of providing extraordinary support, ideally to people with visual impairment or other disabilities, you'll be professional, patient and calm under pressure. You'll be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example and nurture and develop talent. Holding at least QCF level 2 (Level 3 or equivalent is the desired qualification for the post). You will demonstrate an ability to use your own initiative, particularly with regard to daily guidance of support staff. You'll have knowledge of regulatory standards for residential living, above all you'll take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support, striving always to surpass expectations and do what is right by them. You are motivated, dynamic, resilient and a strong team player with great interpersonal skills.

 

You will have strong communication and I.T. skills and the ability to drive our services vehicles will be advantageous. Physically fit, you will have at least 1 years experience at senior support worker level and experience of working with people who have complex disabilities.
