Support Worker – Horley Support Service
Location: Horley, RH6 7DS
Salary: Up to £27,216.80 per annum (based on full-time, plus 7.5 hours overtime and 1 sleep-in per week).
- Shift rate: £10.52 per hour weekdays and weekends up to 37.5 hours
- Overtime rate: Weekdays £10.52 per hour and weekends £14.02.
- Sleep-ins are £50 per night (£1,200 per annum based on 2 sleep-ins per month).
Hours: 37.5 per week, full-time day shifts only, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.
- Develop professionally to achieve professional qualifications - Care Certificate, QCF levels 2-5, at no cost to you! (Unqualified rate £9.90 per hour).
- 28 days holiday (incl. bank holidays), increasing to 36 days with long service (1 extra day for each year of service).

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting with personal care needs, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching the football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.
There are also a range of different shift patterns available to fit in with any other commitments you may already have.

Who will you be supporting?
Horley Support Services is a supported living service and offers purpose-built accessible accommodation for adults who have learning disabilities or are autistic. We are looking for dedicated and ambitious individuals who can offer complete commitment to supporting our adults to fulfil their potential. This is a challenging role with huge rewards.
We provide 24/7 support to some people, so you will need to have flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
As a Support Worker you will be supporting with:
- Supporting people achieve their goals and aspirations through different forms of activities in and outside of their homes.
- Personal care and medication
- Physical and emotional support.
Our homes each have their own welcoming and experienced team of Support Workers, Deputy’s and Managers who will assist you in your journey and help your professional development.
