Support Worker - Surrey Views

Location: Leatherhead, KT22 8ET

Salary: £27,216.80 per annum (based on 37.5 hours + 7.5 hours overtime and 1 sleep-in per week).

• Shift rate: £10.52 per hour weekdays and weekends up to 37.5 hours
• Overtime rate: Weekdays £10.52 per hour and weekends £13.99
• Sleep-ins are £50 per night (£1,200 per annum based on 2 sleep-ins per month).

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.

Employment type: Full-time & Part-time, Permanent.

We’re seeking to recruit some great new Support Workers; people with the right values and attitude to work in our Supported Living Service – could this be you?

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting with personal care needs, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching the football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.

Who will you be supporting?

Surrey Views is a vibrant residential home for 8 adults with a range of disabilities. All individuals predominantly have varying levels of learning disabilities, visual impairment. We provide support for additional needs, including cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy and mental health.

At Surrey Views, we are looking for calm, patient and resilient Support Workers who will take the time to get to know the people we support and will be able take a calm and consistent approach towards motivating them to engage in the activities they like and enjoy. You can expect to support with a range of daily living tasks which can involve personal care, laundry, meal preparation and medication administration.

This is a challenging role but very rewarding for the right person. Our homes each have their own welcoming and experienced team of Support Workers, Deputy’s and Managers who will assist you in your journey and help your professional development.

Ideally you will be a driver with a manual licence.
