Female Support Worker

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

Salary: £17647.5 - £19136 per annum **(additional payment of up to £820 per year based on 3 sleep ins per month)

Hours: Full time, Part-time, Evenings & Weekends, permanent and Bank opportunities 

Full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.

COVID19 safety is important to us all, we support our staff and the people we support to stay safe by wearing correct PPE, including Type IIR Fluid Resistant Surgical Masks (FRSM) & KN95 mask, aprons and gloves at all times. We have a in-house team that ensures that all of our services have plenty of PPE at all times. We also have lateral flow tests and PCR tests weekly.

All care and support is carried out following the latest Government guidance. Our aim is to keep you and the people we support safe.

At The Willows, we are looking for calm, patient and resilient Support Workers who will take the time to get to know the people we support and will be able take a calm and consistent approach towards motivating them to engage in the activities they like and enjoy. You can expect to support with a range of daily living tasks which can involve personal care, laundry, meal preparation and medication administration.

 

As a support worker you will:

  • Provide emotional support to individuals and their families.
  • Provide support for individuals, such as helping with household tasks, personal care and paperwork. 
  • Assisting with activities and accessing the local community
  • Support and monitor their healthcare needs, including administering medication, attending appointments and with training, completing health actions plans.
  • In this role you will experience behaviours that others may find challenging. With the knowledge and support of the existing team, the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, as well as the appropriate training, you will learn how best to respond to these situations confidently.
